Ministry of Finance of Georgia continues to consider tax disputes in regions with an aim of protecting taxpayer interests and creating favourable conditions for their operation.
Tax Dispute Resolution Council of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia held yet another field meeting at Taxpayer Service Centre in Samtskhe-Javakheti on March 17, 2015. It was chaired by H.E. Nodar Khaduri, Minister of Finance of Georgia.
Council members considered around 10 cases filed by taxpayers.
Tax disputes are reviewed by the Council in regions within the policy of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia to ensure the transparency of Council operation and protection of interests of honest taxpayers.
As a result of the referred initiative, local residents no longer need to travel to the capital city for having their tax disputes considered by the Council. It thereby saves their time and expenses.
«It is a noteworthy initiative to reach out to regions with our Tax Dispute Resolution Council Meetings. We study the problems experienced by businesses on the spot and listen to their concerns. We will try our best to consider their interests within this process to help them create more jobs and make more investments. What is most important, we want taxpayers to understand that Ministry of Finance and its Revenue Service are pro-active and user-friendly institutions. We are their partners and believe to be able to solve very important issues together» noted H.E. Nodar Khaduri, Minister of Finance of Georgia.
Field Meetings of Dispute Resolution Council are held by the Ministry of Finance of Georgia by taking into account the volume of cases filed in individual regions of the country.
