Bilateral relations between China and Georgia were discussed among many other issues at the meeting held between H.E. Nodar Khaduri, Minister of Finance of Georgia and Mr. Shi Yaobin, Deputy Minister of Finance of China.

Minister of Finance of Georgia expressed his gratitude to the visiting official for the support of the Chinese government to Georgia, manifested in the technical assistance and experience sharing initiatives.

Active cooperation between the Ministries of Finance of the two countries is particularly important for upgrading the customs infrastructure of our country.

Parties also expressed hope that active communication will be further pursued between Georgian and Chinese companies in various sectors, including the agriculture, energy, infrastructure and healthcare.

Discussion was also related to the development of transit and logistics opportunities arising between Europe and Asia and great potential of our country in this context. As noted at the meeting, Georgia has all the chances to turn into one of the landmark countries of the new Silk Road
