MINISTER OF FINANCE SHARES NOVELTIES IN THE TAXATION SYSTEM WITH OIL IMPORTERS OF GEORGIA



H.E. Dimitry Kumsishvili, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Georgia met with Oil Importers and Distributors Association of Georgia.

Parties discussed the anticipated amendments to the Tax Code developed by the Government of Georgia (GOG).

First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Georgia elaborated on the current developments in the economy of Georgia and reforms aimed at the acceleration of the economic growth in the county, job creation and welfare of people. According to him, Government of Georgia is planning to reduce the current account deficit by thereby increasing the budget revenues.

It was mentioned at the meeting that the sector will try to get prepared for the anticipated adjustments.
It was also noted that senior management of the Ministry of Finance (MOF) plans to have regular meetings with business associations in various sectors of the economy.
