On September 28, The Minister of Finance Ivane Matchavariani met with the President of Chamber of Commerce of the United States of America, Michael Cowgill, Vice Presidents and Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce.
At the introductory meeting, the sides focused on the existing cooperation between Georgia and the US in the trade and economic field and on the ongoing projects in the country with the support of the US Government.
The Minister of Finance introduced to the guests planned large-scale reforms in the customs and tax field in order to improve the business environment and simplify administration and noted that these initiatives will promote to become interested as many American and international companies as possible in investing in Georgia.
In its turn, the President of the United States Chamber of Commerce emphasized the importance of the reforms implemented by the Georgian government in the direction of the support of business and expressed readiness, the sides to continue active work to further deepen economic cooperation between Georgia and the United States.
