The project on technical assistance for the pension reform is to be started in Georgia




The Minister of Finance of Georgia Ivane Matchavariani delivered a speech at the conference:“Benefit of pension reform in Georgia – Experience of France”, held with the organization of French Embassy and the French Development Agency today.

It should be mentioned that The French Development Agency (AFD) and its partner “Expertise France” officially begin the project of technical assistance for pension reform in the country for which The French Development Agency will allocate EUR 500 00.
Introducing of the accumulated second column in the pension system is the significant reform for Georgian Government as well as for Georgian society. The reform will provide individual pension for employed and self-employed persons and contribute to development of Georgian financial market.

The Minister of IDPs from the occupied territories, labour, health and social affairs of Georgia Davit Sergeenko, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Ekaterine Mikabadze, Ambassador of the Republic of France to Georgia Pascal Meunier, the former Minister of Health of France Marisol Touraine delivered speeches at the conference.
