Minister of Finance of Georgia and French Ambassador Discuss Bilateral Cooperation



H.E. Lasha Khutsishvili, Minister of Finance of Georgia held an introductory meeting with H.E. Sheraz Gasri, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of France to Georgia upon her recent appointment.

The Minister of Finance congratulated the diplomat on the start of her mission in Georgia and wished every success in her future endeavors. He thanked the Ambassador for the funding of priority projects in Georgia and expressed hopes that active cooperation will be pursued further in future as well.

Meeting held at the Ministry of Finance of Georgia was focused on the cooperation between the Republic of France and Georgia, as well as the support of EU integration prospects of the country.

Focus was made on the implementation of projects supported by the Government of France, including the human capital development program launched in the country with support of the World Bank and Agence française de développement (AFD).

At the end of the meeting, dignitaries reiterated their readiness to support the further strengthening of current cooperation between Georgia and Republic of France.

Meeting was attended by Ekaterine Guntsadze, Deputy Minister of Finance of Georgia; Raphael Jozan, AFD Director for South Caucasus.
