H.E. Lasha Khutsishvili, Minister of Finance of Georgia met H.E. Choo Kyung-ho, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Korea within the scope of the Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

Meeting was attended by Ekaterine Guntsadze, Deputy Minister of Finance of Georgia; Genadi Arveladze, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia and H.E. Tarash Papaskua, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Korea.

Dignitaries focused at the meeting on the prospects of deepening cooperation between the two countries and opportunities of increasing Korean investments to Georgia. Significance of Agreements for the Promotion of Free Trade and Protection of Investments between the two countries has been highlighted towards this end.

The Minister of Finance of Georgia shared information with his Korean colleague on the current economic performance of the country and reforms implemented in Georgia.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Korea congratulated his Georgian colleague on getting the status of a Host Country of ADB Annual Meeting for 2024 and expressed readiness to deepen the bilateral cooperation with Georgia.
