H.E. Levan Davitashvili, First Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development; H.E. Lasha Khutsishvili, Minister of Finance of Georgia and H.E. Natia Turnava, Governor of the National Bank of Georgia met Anna Bjerde, Managing Director of the World Bank as part of the Annual Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.
The parties emphasized the longstanding history of successful cooperation, reviewed World Bank-supported projects in Georgia and discussed their importance for the country’s sustainable development.
Members of the Government of Georgia and the leadership of the National Bank presented Georgia’s economic development trends, as well as key macroeconomic and fiscal indicators, to the Executive Director of the World Bank.
Both sides reaffirmed the significance of the World Bank’s continued support in implementing investment projects and reforms that are of strategic importance to Georgia.
On the Georgian side, the meeting was also attended by Deputy Ministers of Finance Giorgi Kakauridze and Ekaterine Guntsadze, and Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Vakhtang Tsintsadze.
