Customs officers' salaries will increase from March 1, - the Minister of Finance, Ivane Matchavariani, said at an event, dedicated to the International Customs Day. He thanked the customs officers for a conscientious and selfless service.

"I want you to know, that your work is of particular importance for the development of our country's economy," - he said and noted that a gradual increase in remuneration of customs staff is planned.

Ivane Matchavariani also thanked the World Customs Organization and international partners, who have supported numerous important projects in recent years in order to strengthen the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance.
