MINISTER OF FINANCE MEETS FITCH RATING AGENCY



Minister of Finance briefed the visitors about the current economic processes and macroeconomic position of the country, execution of the State Budget in 2015, implemented and anticipated reforms in the tax and customs systems,measures planned by the Government of Georgia for the improved competitiveness of the country.

Issues related to the sovereign rating were discussed at the meeting. As noted by the Minister of Finance, it is important for the Government of Georgia to maintain and further improve the rating score of the country. Authorities thus intend to progress with the intended reform agenda.

Currently, Georgia ranks BB - Stable in the international rating of Fitch.

Visitors will meet public and private sector representatives of the country within the scope of their current trip to Georgia.
