Finance Minister, Ivane Matchavariani met with the head of International Monetary Fund mission - Mercedes Vera Martin.
The parties discussed economic condition of the country, development of the “Enhanced funding mechanism” program, the status of the planned reforms and key fiscal indicators of 2020.
As Finance Minister mentioned, Georgian party will continue politics which is oriented on a macroeconomic and fiscal stability maintenance, expressed in low budgetary deficiency and non- risky state debt indicators.
IMF mission highlighted the positive dynamics of Georgian economic indicators, the sustainability of economic growth speed, improvement of the current account deficiency, reduction of the vulnerability towards the foreign factors.
It was noted that continuation of the governmental reform plan is crucial for ensuring sustainable and inclusive growth.
The deputy ministers and the constant representative of IMF in Georgia, Selim Cakir attended to the meeting organized in the Finance Ministry.
