H.E. Nodar Khaduri, Minister of Finance of Georgia took part in the 6th Global Conference on International Tax Dialogue (ITD) by the invitation of Mr. Angel Gurria, General Secretary of the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). The event was held at the Paris Conference Centre of OECD in the period of July 1-3, 2015.
Conference participants were discussing this year all those steps that may be made by countries towards facilitating sustainable economic development through their tax policies and administration. Discussion also related to the taxation in various sectors of the economy, including the environment. Experience of individual member states of OECD in tax administration has been shared.
International Tax Dialogue is a joint initiative of the European Commission (EC), Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), International Monetary Fund (IMF), Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), World Bank Group (WBG) and Centre for Inter-American Tax Administration (CIAT), which is aimed at the facilitation and support of dialogue between the tax inspectors, regional tax authorities, international organizations and other key beneficiaries of various countries on tax-related issues.
