H.E. Nodar Khaduri, Minister of Finance of Georgia met with Mr. Pascal Saint-Amons, Director of the Centre for Tax Policy and Administration at the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) today, during his official visit to France.
Parties agreed at the meeting that capital city of Georgia will host a meeting of high ranking officials from countries of the Euro-Asian region to discuss the issues of tax base erosion and profit sharing (BEPS) in the period of October 21-23, 2015.
Delegated from around 30 counties of Eastern Europe and Central Asia will discuss various topics related to the BEPS project and implementation of the related reform agenda.
It is very important for Georgia and the entire region of Caucasus to hold this key-note event in our country and thus dwell on the opportunities of in-depth cooperation with OECD. It is an excellent opportunity for the participating countries to approximate their national legislations with new, global approaches of international taxation.
The referred event will be organized jointly by the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, Georgian Revenue Service, G20 and OECD.
