MINISTER OF FINANCE MEETS H.E. YUE BIN, AMBASSADOR OF CHINA TO GEORGIA



H.E. Nodar Khaduri, Minister of Finance of Georgia met with H.E. Yue Bin, Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of China to Georgia on August 7, 2015. Discussions were related to the trade and economic relations existing between the two countries. Parties talked also about the Technical Assistance (TA) rendered by Chinese authorities to the Government of Georgia.

Meeting participants particularly focused on the significance of the 6th Round of Chief Negotiators’ Meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), which is due to be held in Tbilisi on August 24-25, 2015.

As noted by the Minister of Finance, Georgia stands ready to host the keynote meeting at a very high level. Georgian party will present the Country’s Investment Outlook within the scope of the forum.
As mentioned, membership in the Bank allows Georgia to attract additional concessional financial resources to finance its infrastructure projects.

Georgia became a shareholding member of the AIIB along with other 56 countries on July 29, 2015. H.E. Nodar Khaduri, Minister of Finance signed the AIIB Incorporation Agreement on behalf and for Georgia.
