H.E. Lasha Khutsishvili, Minister of Finance of Georgia Meets Rana Karadsheh, Regional Director of the IFC for Europe



Cooperation between Georgia and International Financial Corporation (IFC) was discussed at the meeting by and between H.E. Lasha Khutsishvili, Minister of Finance of Georgia and Rana Karadsheh, Regional Director of the IFC for Europe.

Meeting was attended by Ekaterine Guntsadze and Mirza Gelashili, Deputy Ministers of Finance of Georgia; Ivana Fernandes Duarte, IFC Regional Manager for the South Caucasus and Thea Gigiberia, IFC Country Representative in Georgia.

Discussion touched upon the implementation of projects supported by the IFC in Georgia, as well as the capital market development, lending to small and medium enterprises (SME) and increased investment prospects in the referred sector.

Trends of economic growth in Georgia were highlighted at the meeting. As noted, the economic growth indicator reached 10.2% in the first 9 months of the current year. The Minister of Finance of Georgia shared information with the visiting officials on the reform agenda of the Government of Georgia (GOG).

Regional Director of the IFC expressed readiness to further continue partnership in an active manner for the development and advancement of public and private sectors of the country.
