The European System of National and Regional Accounts (ESA) is a statistical methodology used in the European Union to produce consistent and comparable national accounts data. It provides a framework for describing and measuring an economy in a systematic and detailed way, including detailed government accounts that enable a standardized presentation of public sector revenues, expenditures, deficits, and debt across EU member states.
